About Us:

At Apprenticeships Queensland, we connect apprentices and trainees with real employment opportunities across a wide range of industries. As a Group Training Organisation, we employ apprentices and trainees directly and place them with host employers, providing ongoing support throughout their training journey.

Your Role:

As an Employment Consultant, you'll play a vital role in recruiting, placing, and supporting apprentices and trainees. You'll work closely with job seekers, host employers, and training providers to ensure successful outcomes for all parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and assess candidates for apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities
  • Match candidates with suitable host employers based on skills and career goals
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and support to apprentices and trainees
  • Liaise with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to monitor training progress
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with host employers and industry partners
  • Maintain accurate records and meet compliance and performance targets

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for youth employment and vocational training
  • Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and meet deadlines
  • Experience in recruitment, employment services, or vocational education (preferred)
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship systems and training pathways (highly regarded)

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Industry knowledge
  • Experience in contracts and business negotiations
  • Knowledge of Anti-Discrimination legislation
  • Knowledge of Federal and State legislation relevant to employment of
  • apprentices and trainees
  • Knowledge of VET & FET Act relevant to employing Apprentices and Trainees
  • White Card
  • Blue card or ability to obtain
  • Ability to maintain electronic and hard copy records
  • Computer skills including use of internet, email, basic data base functions
  • Essential:Current open driver's license
