Managed by Yancoal, Premier Coal is the leading coal producer in Western Australia. Operating an open cut coal mine near Collie in the South West of WA, the operation produces coal for the domestic market with contracts to 2030.

About the Role

The HV Electrician supports the Maintenance team with ensuring reliable electrical work is conducted safely to allow for maximum machine availability and productivity.

We are looking for a HV Electrician to carry out the following duties:

  • Perform electrical statutory check's as per the EEM's requirements
  • Perform Tag and Test as per schedule
  • Perform regular plant/equipment maintenance, statutory inspections and repairs
  • Complete break in work as required

Roster: 2 on, 6 off; Day/Night; 12 hour shifts

About You

To be successful in this position you will hold the below qualifications & experience;

  • Trade Qualified
  • Strong ongoing commitment to safety
  • Sound communication skills
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritise work load
  • Demonstrated experience with investigation of complex electrical faults, and identifying appropriate remedial works
  • Previous experience working on plant and machinery within a mining or heavy industry environment
  • Current WA 'C' class drivers' licence
