You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities
- Provide critical network operations support to customers to diagnose and respond to large-scale events
- Contribute to operational on-call rotating roster
- Operate and troubleshoot network routing, inter-connectivity, platforms, performance, and configurations issues; including necessary low level application interaction, Unix systems, and new age networking software tools.
- Work closely with our automation teams in defining the tools that allow us to scale at higher
- Work closely with our Network/Systems & Software Engineering teams to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products, as well as assist with deployment and sustaining of networking software tools.
- Maintain standards across the networking toolset and ensure that we are fully compliant to those standards and policies.
- Participate and drive impact mitigation during large-scale events utilizing an established Event Management process
- Drive event deep dives for large-scale events, deliver high-quality documentation for the events and drive corrective actions to completion
- Improve our detection mechanisms by designing - - Deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes.
- Collaborate with highest tier escalation engineers/resolvers.
- Identify and drive opportunities to repeatable tasks through creation and maintenance of scripts and tools

Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
- 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience
- 2+ years professional experience working in large scale networking environments

Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Junos.
- 1+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience
