This position will deliver Paediatric Music Therapy clinical services as a member of a multidisciplinary team to customers of Gold Coast Health Service - Children's services
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Music Therapist join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver Music Therapy clinical services, including assessment, intervention and evaluation
- Undertake Music Therapy tasks commensurate with level of experience in a complex environment of change
- Engage positively with change, including implementing methods to optimise own resilience, flexibility and reflective practice
- Develop and share clinical practice knowledge and evidence through self-directed and active learning within the team
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree or post graduate diploma in Music Therapy
- Australian Music Therapy Association Incorporated Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (15.2hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $39.86- $58.59 per hour

The Music Therapy service is a small but highly valued service amid a rapidly growing and dynamic multi-disciplinary Childrens department. The position operates from the Occupational Therapy Department which has a strong focus on clinical excellence, research and healthcare improvement, and is grounded in a culture of success. The position functions within the Childrens Services component of the Women, Newborn & Children Division (WNC)
