Looking to take on a broad and strategic accounting role in a misson-driven organisation?

Edward Mann is recruiting exclusively for this newly created Permanent Part Time position (0.6 FTE / 3 days per week). You'll work with a high impact Not-for-Profit based in Melbourne's Eastern Suburb of Scoresby. 1 of 3 days per week would be from home.

The role is paying up to $120k + super + salary packaging full time equivilent (depending on experience). $120 FTE is equivlient to circa $73k (3 days)

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Oversee month-end closing processes, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations. Ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop and manage annualbudgets in collaboration with leadership Team
  • Oversee outsourced payroll and assist with managing 2 AP/AR staff.
  • Prepare and monitor cashflow forecasts to maintain financial stability.
  • Partner with the CEO to deliver insights for key decisions
  • Manage year end close including stocktake, lead schedule preparation and preparation of year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors
  • Drive process improvement across finance, systems, and corporate services
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (GST, FBT, Payroll Tax, etc.)
  • Provide active support to the Executive Team re strategic analysis and decision-making.
  • Prepare for future growth strategy including streamlining and automation

What we're looking for:

  • CPA (or equivalent) with a strong financial reporting background – those studying toward or without will still be considered.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Bonus if you've worked in NFP, education, or similar mission-based organisations
  • Systems experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, SharePoint is highly desirable
