Position Overview
SydneySiders Badminton Academy seeks experienced Badminton Trainers/Coaches for casual or part-time roles across our Western Sydney locations: Seven Hills , Riverstone, and Penrith. You'll deliver engaging sessions for players of all ages and levels, driving skill development and fostering a positive sports culture in a growing academy.
Key Responsibilities
Design and lead group classes, private lessons, and drills emphasising technique, strategy, footwork, and fitness.
Evaluate player performance and develop individualised training plans for recreational and competitive goals.
Create an inclusive, motivating environment that promotes teamwork and enjoyment.
Handle session logistics, equipment, and safety at multi-site venues.
Support team initiatives, including events, holiday programs, and parent feedback.
Requirements and Qualifications
Competitive badminton experience at club, state, or national level.
Coaching certification (e.g., Badminton Australia Level 1 or equivalent) preferred; support available for obtaining.
Strong communication skills for coaching diverse groups, especially juniors.
Reliable transport for site travel (reimbursement offered).
Essential: Working with Children Check (WWCC), First Aid/CPR, and Australian work rights.
Availability: Evenings, weekends, and holidays (10–15 hours/week minimum).
