DogFX is one of Adelaide's largest grooming salons, established almost 20 years ago and situated in the luxurious suburb of north Adelaide. We have a large client base that is expanding rapidly. DogFX also offer daycare, dog sitting and dog training.

The role:

Dream job alert We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a Casual qualified Dog Trainer to join our team at DogFX. You will be running the entire Dog Training service providing all of our existing DogFX customers with exceptional knowledge from basic puppy school training, level 1 training and beyond .You will have access to private, newly renovated dedicated training rooms. This role should practice and teach force-free, positive reinforcement-based training methods, and you will be responsible for practicing this method of behaviour training.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • The role will involve working with an array of different behavioral cases as well as basic foundational obedience cases from dog and people aggressive dogs to puppies and group classes.
  • Implementing behavior modification treatment plans and managing own case load
  • Traveling to clients houses for in home training sessions.
  • The successful trainer will be allocated clients from grooming and day-care and will be in charge of online bookings.
  • Providing excellent customer service to all customers.
  • Engaging in administrative tasks as required
  • Promote training services to new and existing clients

You will have:

  • Relevant qualification in dog training and canine behavior
  • Confidence with handling dogs of varying temperaments
  • A commitment to positive reinforcement-based training methods
  • Passion for animal behavior and welfare
  • Willingness to work as part of a wider team and also autonomously
  • High degree of emotional maturity
  • Drive to succeed and able to work unsupervised
  • Extremely motivated to push yourself.
