Job Purpose:

The Professional Services team at SHL plays a pivotal role in the ongoing delivery of client solutions through a range of consulting and product-led interventions. The Consultant role provides a great opportunity to work with some of our key customers, consulting across the breadth of our talent measurement solutions.

Key activities include: the provision of practiced advice and analytics on SHL products and services; project delivery including training delivery and administration program delivery; and working with colleagues within and outside the Professional Services business to ensure that our solutions meet customer needs and deliver sustainable growth in the SHL business.

This position will report into the Associate Director – Consulting, ANZ. It is based in Sydney with options to work remotely from home if in a different state. There is some travel expected of the role both within Australia, with potential, infrequent national travel.

Job activities:

  • Project delivery – The primary focus of this role will be in providing first class delivery; developing client relationships; client management and project delivery; the provision of authority advice on SHL products and services, working with colleagues within and outside the Professional Services business to ensure that our solutions meet client needs and deliver sustainable growth in SHL's business.

  • Talent advice – For some larger subscription accounts you will partner with sales colleagues and other consultants to provide assessment, insight, and added value to the way our clients use our solutions.

  • Project head for consulting projects – With appropriate assist you will be able to take the lead on projects, building relationships with client stakeholders and delivering on the project timelines with your own and other colleagues delivery input.
  • Drive continuous improvement - Positively contribute to SHL, your experience and knowledge.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Uses technical and market knowledge to shape innovative solutions
  • Aligns all relevant internal and external resources and stakeholders to achieve the desired project outcomes by the agreed timelines
  • Projects our consulting team assist include:
  • Assessment (e.g. assessment centres, executive assessment, 360 feedback)
  • Talent Management Strategy & Process Design (e.g. talent management frameworks, knowledge frameworks, assessment or development intervention design, role profiling)
  • Talent Management Solutions (e.g. talent/ high potential audit, executive assessment)
  • Learning & Development (e.g. development centres, leadership program delivery)
  • Training Delivery for public (open) courses or in-house customised/bespoke training
  • Product Consulting (e.g. OPQ custom reports, situational judgement tests, realistic job previews, validation and business outcome studies)
  • Works with others on delivery, ensuring a shared awareness on all required steps, project components, consultant contribution, and resources for a timely and successful delivery of projects
  • Attends to questions from clients about products and services
  • Achieves personal consulting delivery targets and helps drive towards the achievement of wider company goals
  • Knowledge management including:
  • Keeping ahead of industry and market trends, using this to anticipate and shape client solutions
  • Maintaining own knowledge of new and existing products and services along with proactive professional development
  • Attendance at agreed professional development/training activities to extend related knowledge, professional and technical experiences, e.g. CPD and external events
  • Internal administration, including:
  • Accurate use of salesforce (for customer management, time and expenses, project management and invoicing)

Requirements:

  • Psychology registration preferred, with preference for Organisational Psychology endorsement

  • Experience gained in house or in a client facing role.

  • Strong interest in assessment and development in the workplace and/or SHL's product suite
  • Able to create and manipulate documents using Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
  • Comfort doing data analysis, including distribution analysis, group differences, adverse impact, and other statistical techniques
  • A high achiever with enthusiasm and resilience
