Join Us as a Cloud & AI Solution Architect – Azure Data, Analytics & AI (Melbourne)
We're looking for a seasoned professional with a strong technology background in the banking, superannuation, and insurance industries to join our team as a Cloud and AI Solution Architect (CSA). In this customer-facing role, you'll lead the technical relationship between Microsoft and our customers, helping them unlock the full potential of their Microsoft investments.
You'll architect and deploy world-class cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure, enabling customers to become AI-ready by applying scalable best practices from the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework (WAF).

- Lead architecture and operational health engagements to accelerate customer transformation.
- your domain expertise in banking, superannuation, and insurance to deliver tailored, high-impact solutions.

- Candidates with prior technical consulting experience in Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Purview, or equivalent data warehousing technologies are highly preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 12+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
- 6+ years experience working on technical projects.
- Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
Customer & Business Impact
- Deliver value-based solutions aligned with Microsoft methodologies to support customer operational readiness and business goals.
- Guide customers toward secure, resilient, AI-enabled, and optimised architectures to drive retention and expansion.
- Collaborate with account teams to build consumption plans and provide feedback to improve delivery offerings.
- Identify cross-solution opportunities and consult strategically to align technical solutions with customer outcomes.
Customer Engagement & Experience
- Translate customer challenges into industry-aligned solutions that demonstrate ROI.
- Build trusted relationships with technical and business decision-makers, including C-level stakeholders.
- Act as the voice of the customer, sharing insights to influence product development and improve customer experience.
- Lead resolution strategies for customer dissatisfaction and drive transformation acceleration.
Partner Collaboration
- Identify strategic partner opportunities and support technical pre-sales efforts.
- Lead initiatives to develop scalable partner offerings and influence adoption of new technologies.
- Maintain visibility in solution-specific communities and collaborate with internal stakeholders to share field insights.
Technical Leadership
- Identify gaps and drive improvements in products, processes, and methodologies.
- Provide thought leadership and contribute to scalable IP and frameworks.
- Mentor peers and lead upskilling initiatives aligned with solution area and corporate priorities.
- Represent Microsoft in internal and external technical forums, contributing to community engagement and brand elevation.
