The Opportunity

The Intensive Care Unit of North Shore Private Hospital is a busy 19-bedded Unit admitting in excess of 2500 patients annually and is accredited for C6 training with the College of Intensive Care Medicine. The unit has a predominantly post-operative case mix with a wide

variety of patients including complex Cardio-thoracic, upper GI and Neurosurgical patients.

The department employs a total of 8 trainees who also work alternating weeks on and off with a mix of day and night shifts.

We are seeking applications for a candidate with critical care experience interested in becoming part of our busy and dynamic department. This is for a 12-month position initially, with potential for longer term employment.

The Unit has a strong emphasis on teaching with trainees attending education sessions across the North Shore Campus. Trainees are encouraged to participate in quality projects within the Unit and attend the education opportunities.

Skills and Experience

• Applicants must be at least 4 years postgraduate with experience in critical care (ICU, Anaesthetics or ED).
• Hold unconditional AHPRA Registration (essential)
• Be available for flexible shift work over a 7-day roster (12-hour shifts)
• ALS / CALS certification (desirable)
• Must hold additional private indemnity insurance (Ramsay will provide employee indemnity on top)
