Key Responsibilities:

Cleaners

• Perform general cleaning duties in residents' rooms and communal areas
• Basic computer skills
• Maintain high hygiene and infection control standards
• Restocking of supplies and reporting any maintenance issues

Laundry

• Collect, wash, dry, and return residents' personal clothing and linen with the assistants of robots for the heavy lifting and pushing
• Operate commercial laundry equipment safely
• Follow infection control and laundry protocols
• Label all clothing

About you:

• Previous experience in cleaning or laundry within aged care (preferred but not essential)
• A genuine passion for working with the elderly
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills needed
• Effective communication and time management skills
• A satisfactory police clearance for working in Aged Care less than 12 months old.
• Knowledge of the aged care sector with genuine empathy
• Current Police clearance
• Knowledge of WHS practices; understanding of infection control in aged care is a plus
• Undertake a pre-employment physical assessment
