Martha's is a brand-new bakery concept just opened in Abbotsford and we're looking for a skilled and passionate Senior Pastry Chef to lead the kitchen and bring an already-developed, world-class pastry menu to life.

This is a rare opportunity to join a venue from conception. You'll be responsible for executing this exciting new menu offering to the highest standard, leading a team, and setting the tone for a culture of quality, creativity, and consistency.

Your Role:

  • Oversee and execute a curated menu of standout pastries and viennoiserie
  • Manage kitchen operations, daily production, and team workflows
  • Maintain exceptional standards in taste, presentation, and consistency
  • Work with premium seasonal ingredients and artisanal techniques
  • Lead a team with a focus on training, mentoring, and development
  • Ensure compliance with WHS and food safety standards
  • Collaborate with ownership to refine and evolve the offering over time

About You:

  • 3–5+ years in a senior or head pastry role, with strong leadership experience
  • Deep knowledge of classic and contemporary pastry techniques
  • Proven ability to lead a team in a high-quality, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Strong understanding of food safety and WHS protocols
  • A calm, focused presence in the kitchen — and a genuine love for pastry
