TGT is a locally owned multi-store retail business, specialising in the supply of general hardware, plumbing & irrigation, building, agricultural chemicals, and rural merchandise to the agricultural, rural and building industries in North Queensland
The role
We are seeking a full time Showroom Consultant / Sales & Quotes Assistant in our flagship Mareeba retail store. In this role, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience and driving sales in our showroom.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist customers in finding the right products to meet their needs
- Demonstrate product features and benefits to customers
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a tidy and organised showroom environment
- Participate in ongoing product and sales training
- Collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role
- Minimum 1-2 years of retail or customer service experience required
- A knowledge of bathroom / hardware fittings (not essential)
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Enthusiasm and a passion for providing excellent customer service
- Ability to work unsupervised with computer skills (SAP knowledge a bonus)
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including participation in the 1 in 3 Saturday morning roster
- Australian work rights are required for this position
