Showroom Consultant

TGT is a locally owned multi-store retail business, specialising in the supply of general hardware, plumbing & irrigation, building, agricultural chemicals, and rural merchandise to the agricultural, rural and building industries in North Queensland

The role

We are seeking a full time Showroom Consultant / Sales & Quotes Assistant in our flagship Mareeba retail store. In this role, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience and driving sales in our showroom.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Assist customers in finding the right products to meet their needs
• Demonstrate product features and benefits to customers
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a tidy and organised showroom environment
• Participate in ongoing product and sales training
• Collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role
• Minimum 1-2 years of retail or customer service experience required
• A knowledge of bathroom / hardware fittings (not essential)
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Enthusiasm and a passion for providing excellent customer service
• Ability to work unsupervised with computer skills (SAP knowledge a bonus)
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including participation in the 1 in 3 Saturday morning roster
• Australian work rights are required for this position
