About the role
As a Senior Regulatory Economist, you will be a dynamic leader in shaping SA Power Networks' regulatory strategies, proposals and internal decision making, to enable outcomes that balance business, customer and stakeholder needs. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in economic regulation in a business that is at the forefront of the energy transformation and is a leader in technical and regulatory innovation.
In this role, you will develop:
expenditure frameworks for forecasting expenditure and valuing service outcomes, and conduct cost-benefit analyses;
design strategies to optimise incentive scheme outcomes, and to guide reforms to incentives in response to the energy sector's transformation; and
contribute to external advocacy on national regulatory reforms.

Starting salary of $192,602.76 per annum + super.
13% superannuation (1% above current legislated employer contributions).

About you
Your skills and experience will include:
Degree in Economics or a related commercial discipline (e.g. Finance, Commerce).
Advanced knowledge of economic theory.
5 -10 years of relevant professional experience.
Demonstrated experience in economic analysis within a business, regulatory body, or government agency.
Demonstrated experience with, or a strong understanding of, the regulatory environment and expectations for network utility businesses.
Proven ability to critically analyse and provide advice on complex economic issues.
