Find purpose and impact

As a Water and Wastewater Treatment Assistant, you'll play an essential, hands-on role in keeping the Dubbo region safe, growing and enjoyable for all. Combining outdoors and office-based work, you'll ensure the supply of clean, reliable and high-quality drinking water. You'll also protect our region by treating sewage to an environmentally acceptable level. By getting stuck into interesting, diverse challenges, you'll test your skills and shape a career that never gets stale.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Assisting in the effective, efficient operation of treatment plants and managing reservoirs, booster stations and sewer pumping stations to ensure they are of high quality and meet requirements
  • Assisting in general maintenance and operations of water and sewer treatment facilities.
  • Assist in the batching and dosing procedures.Maintaining the yards and enclosures at water treatment facilities.

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience working in the water industry in particular treating water and waste water.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in water treatment operationsExperience in the operation of powered and unpowered hand tools.

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $62,741 to $72,915.
