We have a rare and highly specialised opportunity for a full-time Embalmer to join our Mortuary team in Perth, WA. This is a career-defining role for a qualified professional who is passionate about the science and art of embalming, and who understands the vital role the mortuary plays in supporting grieving families. Applicants must hold a tertiary qualification and be eligible for accreditation with the Australian Institute of Embalming (AIE).

Our team undertakes approximately 2,500 embalmings per year, and we are seeking someone who can contribute to this high standard of care with precision, empathy, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Body preparation and presentation
• Preserving deceased with chemicals to assist in restoring their appearance
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked mortuary
• Adhering to all safety and infection control regulations
• Working collaboratively with the mortuary team

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification: Certificate IV in Embalming/Funeral Service
• Proven experience in all aspects of mortuary work
• High standard of embalming practice and attention to detail
• Ability to deliver highly sensitive information with professionalism and compassion
• Strong customer service skills and a caring demeanour
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast paced environment
• Valid and clean WA Driver's Licence
• Must hold Australian Residency
• National Police Clearance (issued within the past 12 months)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
