With a factory based in Pakenham, Secure Glass & Aluminium deliver high quality custom made aluminium windows, doors and unique projects to customers across Melbourne and The Mornington Peninsula.
We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated fabricator to join our small busy team. An ability to work in a fast paced environment is a must. The right candidate will be competent, enthusiastic, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
The role will include-
• Cutting and handling of aluminium extrusions
• Assembling commercial aluminium windows and doors
• Use of industrial saws, copy routers, drills, rip saws and other power tools
• Occasional lifting of heavy panels of glass
• Reading basic plans
Key attributes we are looking for-
• 12 months experience in Commercial Aluminium window fabrication (preferred but not essential)
• Cabinet maker / Joiner trade background will be considered
• An understanding of different profile extrusions such as but not limited to Capral & Alspec.
• A high standard of quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• An ability to read commercial plans
• Must be well-presented and have excellent communication skills
• Must be punctual, reliable and have an understanding of safe work practices & WHS
