The Company
With an office conveniently located in the inner Eastern suburbs, this company has been leading the industry for over 20 years. Their projects span commercial, education, health, retail, hospitality, residential, government, and industrial, with projects being valued up to $30m+.
The Position
Responsibilities
As the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the well-being of our employees and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines tailored to our specific work environment
- Leading safety training programs and workshops to educate employees on best practices, emergency protocols, and safety awareness
- Investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and providing thorough analysis and recommendations to prevent recurrence
- Implementing, upholding, and redeveloping (where necessary) ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001 standards.
- Maintaining OFSC accreditation
- Conducting site-based safety duties where needed
The Person
- Cert IV of Work Health & Safety or higher
- Drivers License & White Card
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Understanding of the construction process
- Experience on projects $30m+ desirable
