Credit Controller — A rare chance to join a high-performing team with 4 days Working from Home
About Bradnams Group
At Bradnams, we're more than just a leader in Windows and Door products — We're a National Group with strong regional roots and a reputation for excellence, reliability and growth. Behind the scenes, our Credit Team is one of the keys to that success: a high-performing, long standing group of professionals who know how to get results and support one another along the way.
Now, a rare opportunity has opened up for a motivated and commercially savvy Credit Controller to step into this sought-after environment.
The Opportunity — Hybrid and Full-timeThis is a full-time contract role (5 days per week), but unlike most roles in credit, we offer the balance and freedom of working from home four days a week. You'll join us in the Brisbane office just one day a week to connect with the team, with initial in-office training provided to set you up for success.
All hardware and a company mobile phone are supplied so you can hit the ground running.
Why this role is Different?- Hybrid freedom — enjoy focus time at home with one collaborative office day.
- Established team — step into a supportive, experienced group who know the business inside-out.
- Career-making exposure — own the end-to-end credit process and influence results that matter.
- Rare opening — this is not a role that comes up often; our team has long tenure and strong cohesion.
- Managing the end-to-end credit process for your ledgers — receipting payments, reconciling accounts (automated with some manual touchpoints).
- Leading the collections cycle — contacting customers on overdue/over-limit accounts, negotiating outcomes, and following up escalations.
- Monitoring credit limits, reviewing daily defaults and legal action reports, and making smart, commercially sound calls.
- Supporting credit applications (reports prepared by our Credit Admin Officer), stepping into this responsibility as your competency is established.
- Backing up teammates by managing additional ledgers when they're away — because in our team, nobody gets left behind.
- 5+ years of proven experience in credit, receivables or collections.
- Strong communication — clear, confident and persuasive with both customers and internal stakeholders.
- Negotiation skills with the judgement to balance customer experience with business results.
- Organised, time-savvy and able to manage priorities across multiple ledgers.
- Resilient and confident in handling tough customer conversations.
- JDE experience a plus, but not essential.
- Familiarity with debtor insurance, Equifax and BICB reporting highly regarded.
- This isn't a role for someone bogged down in minutiae or overly rigid. Our Credit Controllers succeed because they:
- Think commercially, not just transactionally.
- Collaborate and share wins across the team.
- Stay motivated by both customer experience and results.
- Are proactive, fast-moving, and solutions-driven.
This is a standout role: a rare chance to join an exceptional, long-standing team in a flexible, full-time contract. If you're ready to take ownership of your ledger, build strong relationships, and drive outcomes that matter, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and tell us why this hybrid credit role is the perfect fit for you within your cover letter.
As part of our recruitment process, applicants will be required to provide evidence of their Working Rights within Australia and be willing to participate in psychometric testing and undertake a pre-employment medical assessment.
