About the role

As the Drafter / Estimator at Nzuri Cabinets', you will play a crucial role in transforming client design concepts into detailed, constructible plans. This full-time position is based in Caloundra, Queensland, and will see you contributing to the company's continued growth and success within the architectural design and cabinet-making industry.

What you'll be doing

  1. Interpreting client briefs and design plans to produce accurate, detailed technical drawings and specifications
  2. Calculating material quantities and costs to provide comprehensive estimates for client projects
  3. Collaborating closely with the design and production teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  4. Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, standards and best practices
  5. Providing exceptional customer service and technical support to clients
  6. Continuously looking for ways to improve processes and increase efficiencies

What we're looking for

  1. Relevant qualification in Cabinetry and a related field
  2. Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar drafting or estimating role, preferably within the cabinet-making or construction industry
  3. Proficient in using CAD/Mosaik software and other design-related applications
  4. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
  5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  6. Effective communication and customer service skills
  7. Passion for delivering high-quality, innovative design solutions
