Sunhubs Care Services are seeking an experienced Disability Area Manager to oversee the supports of our clients in our SIL houses, along with staff around Burnie, Wynyard and Davenport areas.
All successful candidates must be NDIS worker certified and hold a valid drivers licence.

The Role
We're seeking a dynamic and values-driven Disability Area Manager to lead service operations across Burnie, Wynyard and Davenport areas. You'll oversee frontline teams, ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, and champion person-centred care. This is a strategic leadership role with a strong operational focus, ideal for someone passionate about quality, inclusion, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Management & Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and support Service Coordinators and Support Workers across multiple sites
- Facilitate regular supervision, performance reviews, and professional development plans
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and accountable team culture
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning in line with organisational needs
- Ensure staff compliance with training, NDIS Worker Screening, and Code of Conduct
- Address staff concerns, grievances, and performance issues with transparency and care
- Foster reflective practice, peer support, and continuous learning across teams
Service Delivery & Compliance
- Ensure services meet NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements and Disability Standards
- Monitor service delivery, budgets, and KPIs to ensure operational excellence
- Build strong relationships with participants, families, and stakeholders
- Oversee incident management, risk mitigation, and compliance reporting
- Support the implementation of individualised plans, including restrictive practice reporting and emergency procedures
- Collaborate with allied health, community organisations, and government bodies
About You
- Proven leadership experience in disability, aged care, or community services
- Strong understanding of the NDIS, Disability Services Act, and Australian Disability Standards
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities with empathy and strategic focus
- Relevant experience in similar role
- Current Driver's Licence and NDIS Worker Screening Check
