About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the setup of the Australian Shipbuilder – a joint venture between ASC and BAE Systems – which will lead the construction of Australia's SSN-AUKUS submarines. The Business Process Analyst ensures the highest standards of quality and compliance in submarine construction. The role will focus on integrating quality principles into engineering workflows and production systems to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain quality assurance process models and frameworks aligned with strategic objectives.
- Undertake business process analysis and modelling across internal teams to support operational and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with employees at all levels to understand existing processes and gather feedback for fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Ensure quality assurance processes comply with relevant standards, regulations, and internal protocols.
- Integrate risk analysis into process modelling to support informed decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative, efficient solutions.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or Information Technology.
- BPMN 2.0 qualification highly desirable.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in quality, process improvement, project management, or business intelligence.
- Strong knowledge of Business Process Management principles and tools.
- Proficiency in quality assurance software and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in process redesign and operational requirements gathering.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a systems-thinking mindset.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
