Introduction:

The role:

Cater Care seeks to appoint a Part-Time Catering Assistant at one of our key aged care residences in Byron Bay. This role offers the opportunity to work in the heart of Byron Bay, close to stunning beaches and a vibrant local community.

Description:

Roster: Monday to Friday, 1:30 pm - 7:30 pm (25 hours per week)

What we offer:

Support around further training, licensing and accreditations

What this role involves:

Assisting with food preparation

Customer service - serving our residents meals and snacks

Re-stocking as required, and after meal periods

Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas

Prepare and present texture modified foods

Skills and Experiences:

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Pride in personal appearance & hygiene

Previous experience in aged care (preferred but not essential)
