We are seeking a skilled full-time Project Draftsperson with playground and outdoor gym design and drafting experience. The main focus of the role will be to complete Site Set-Out drawings for construction and installation of our equipment, that meet PlayCo quality methods. Working on projects for Local Government Parks, Education facilities and the private sector, the ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of site complexities and variables.

Key Responsibilities

• Create accurate set-out drawings using Inventor, with sometimes AutoCAD input, that meet customer and user specifications and needs, as well as site and manufacturing requirements
• Complete drawings to the correct Australian Standards for open space playgrounds, contained play and/or outdoor gyms
• Manage different projects, of varying sizes, simultaneously to multiple timelines
• Communicate and collaborate effectively, both verbally and written
• Be creative in problem solving drawing outcomes to bridge design/sales through to project management/installation
• Collate and assess information for job, and ensure these elements are all considered whilst completing drawings
• Maintain and update standard details and drawings where directed

Requirements

• Qualification in Architectural Drafting/Building Design, or related field
• 6 months to a year experience in Playground and outdoor gym design and/or drafting
• Proficiency in AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault and Microsoft Office
• High Attention to detail, spatial awareness, and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of construction methods, and technical drawing
• Ability to read, understand and interpret land surveys, architectural, landscape and engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong organisational, time management and communication skills
• Manufacturing knowledge (highly advantageous)
