Hays is partnering with one of Australia's most trusted and iconic brands to recruit for an exciting opportunity. Their large finance team is looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to join them on a permanent basis. You will be joining a reputable organisation that values career progression and offers flexibility.

Your new role

  • Oversee all aspects of taxation compliance and support requirements across a diverse group of business units and entities
  • Prepare and manage tax obligations, including FBT, annual income tax returns, fuel tax credits, and research & development claims
  • Provide strategic taxation planning and advice to senior management
  • Identify and assess tax risk areas, ensuring compliance and mitigation strategies are in place
  • Review and process expenditure authorisation requests
  • Asset disposals, transfers and verifications
  • Running monthly depreciation journals
  • Maintenance of fixed asset registers
  • Preparation of monthly management and board reports
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets, corporate plans, and forecasts

What you'll need to succeed

  • CPA qualified with solid experience in corporate tax
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Well-organised and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities across teams and stakeholders
  • Brings positive energy, initiative, and a proactive mindset to the role
  • Comfortable navigating complex tax matters and contributing strategic insights
