Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Teaching Assistant located in Redfern, NSW. The Teaching Assistant will support classroom teachers in preparing lesson materials, assisting with instructional activities, and providing individualized attention to students. Daily tasks include supervising students during lessons, helping them with their classwork, and monitoring their progress. The Teaching Assistant will also help manage classroom behavior and support the emotional and social development of students.

Qualifications

• Experience in classroom assistance and instructional support
• Ability to supervise and support students with their academic work
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers
• Skills in managing classroom behavior and promoting positive social interactions
• Commitment to cultural sensitivity and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures
• Relevant qualifications in education or child development are a plus
• Experience in supporting the emotional and social development of students is beneficial
