About the role

At Anthem Care, we believe every detail matters when it comes to creating a safe, comfortable, and home-like environment for our residents. As a Laundry Assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring residents feel respected, cared for, and supported by providing high-quality laundry services.

This is more than just a laundry role – it's about making a positive impact every day. Whether it's taking the time to ask residents about their preferences, handling their belongings with dignity, or helping keep our spaces safe and welcoming, you'll be an important part of our caring team.

What you'll be doing

• Providing professional laundry services in line with policies and infection control procedures.
• Respectfully consulting with residents about their personal items and service preferences.
• Maintaining clean, organised and safe laundry spaces (including equipment care and supplies).
• Supporting residents' independence, choices and wellbeing in daily routines.
• Reporting hazards, incidents or risks to keep our community safe.
• Working as part of a collaborative team and supporting new colleagues.
• Actively participating in training and professional development to stay up to date.

What we're looking for

• Experience in laundry preparation and processes.
• A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong communication skills and a respectful, caring approach.
• Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
• Current Police Check and annual flu vaccination (essential).

It's a bonus if you also have:

• Certificate II in Laundry Operations (or working towards it).
• Experience working in aged care or with elderly clients.
• Knowledge of chemical handling.
