We have been supplying high quality building, garden & landscaping supplies to Melbourne, Geelong and beyond for nearly 45 years. The Daisy's team includes over 200 people, working across 9 stores and 5 production sites, from Pakenham to Torquay and Colac. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Front End Loader Operator / Yard Person to join our Taylors Lakes team on a casual basis.

The role

As a Yard Person you will report to the Store Manager and be responsible for loading customer orders into vehicles, as well as unloading deliveries. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Load customer orders and unload deliveries using a front end loader, forklift and manual handling
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Coordinate traffic movement and flow in the yard
  • Maintain yard stock levels, presentation and cleanliness
  • Perform daily equipment checks

This role does require manual handling and repetitive lifting of heavy weights.

Expected hours of work

Our Taylors Lakes store is open Monday to Friday 6:30am - 4:30pm and Saturday 7am - 3:30pm.

Skills & experience

The successful applicant will be someone who:

  • Can form friendly and positive customer relationships and has good communications skills
  • Has attention to details & accuracy
  • Is comfortable working outdoors with multiple sorts of mobile equipment
  • Has current front end loader competency and forklift licence
  • Preferably has experience loading trucks, trailers & utes
  • Is physically fit enough to meet the manual handling requirements
