team provides end-to-end solutions for large and critical end users, maximising full lifecycle asset and system value. Our diverse product range includes a variety of LV, MV, Semiconductors and other niche offers and expanding digital solutions. Providing our valued Customers with market products across; energy, chemicals, food, mining, mobility, and data centers, just to name a few.

The Opportunity

Our growing Power Systems team is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer. Based in Macquarie Park (Sydney), you will be a key member of our Digital Power Application Centre as you utilise your background to play a central role in providing Microgrid solutions, leveraging technologies that are cost-effective, reliable and sustainable for our Customers.

This exciting new career opportunity will see you:

  • Play a central role in the design, configuration and optimisation of Microgrid systems and related SCADA solutions to provide Customers with reliability and optimised energy management solutions
  • Utilise your technical experience across key technical areas; solar, batteries, storage, generators, renewable energy sources and other emerging technologies
  • Conduct site visits for; requirements assessments, installations, testing, commissioning and other performance analysis requirements
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and other internal stakeholders (some based outside of Australia) in meeting technical standards and adhering to project goals and Customer requirements
  • Leveraging an increasingly diverse variety of Schneider software, services and related products
  • Interpret and apply relevant standards, other legacy protocols and adhering to Projects Plans
  • Site travel to support Customer requirements on both a local and national basis when required

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, bringing a level of knowledge and experience in Renewable Energy or Power Systems (e.g. solar, battery storage and diesel generators)

  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in a similar Project Engineering role that has been focused on Microgrids or Renewable Energy

  • Technical background and understanding of PLC/SCADA systems, Coding and Modbus
  • Well-developed communication skills and confident in Customer engagement, especially in relation to time on site
  • Strong problem-solving skills, an analytical approach and project management capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, while managing multiple tasks
