The role works with limited supervision as part of the Creative Health Hub to provide senior leadership in the delivery of arts and health programs aligned with government priorities, including Closing the Gap on Indigenous Disadvantage, preventative health, mental health, dementia, and primary healthcare

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Senior Project Officer (Creative Health) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Provide high level advice to all key stakeholders on the development, integration and impact of arts and health initiatives
  • Lead the integration of art in infrastructure projects
  • Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on research, evaluation and knowledge sharing activities relating to creative health programs

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in health or the arts would be well regarded.
  • Working with Children check
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Drawing upon the National Arts and Health Framework and the creative initiatives already in place, the Creative Health Hub delivers arts programs and initiatives with deliberate health and wellbeing goals across the visual arts, performing arts, literary arts and the built environment. The Creative Health Hub aims to integrate the arts within; health promotion, partnerships and collaboration, research and evaluation, facility design, and the achievement of government priorities
