Overview of the role

Nyrstar Port Pirie are seeking a Technical Assistant to join the on-site Laboratory team.

Have you successfully completed and passed year 12 chemistry or a similar science subject? Are you looking for a new career opportunity?

You will be responsible for performing chemical and instrumental analysis on samples, with a quick and accurate turnover to meet customer requirements, all whilst adhering to site procedures and the Laboratory Quality Manual. If you have a keen eye for detail, this role is for you

Do you have the additional requisites of:

Essential

  • Experience with Microsoft suite of programs
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality
  • Good organisation and time management skills

Desirable

  • Studied and completed year 12 chemistry or similar science subject
  • A certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or similar
  • Experience in a laboratory environment
  • A sound understanding of laboratory quality systems; and familiarity with Laboratory Information Management System (Labware)
