The Opportunity

We're on the lookout for a passionate and pragmatic Software Engineer to join our growing tech team. You'll be instrumental in designing and delivering scalable web and mobile applications that make a real difference to families and children across Australia.

This is a hands-on, full-stack role where you'll work across modern technologies like React, Flutter, .NET (C#), and Azure, contributing to a microservices-based, event-driven architecture in a cloud-native environment.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain scalable applications across web and mobile platforms.
  • Work across the stack – from intuitive front-end interfaces to robust back-end services.
  • Ship features frequently using CI/CD pipelines and agile practices.
  • Apply domain-driven and event-driven design principles.
  • Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and Data Engineering.
  • Leverage AI tools to boost productivity and code quality.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and incident response.
  • Embed security and observability into everything you build.

What You'll Bring

  • Proficiency in React and .NET (C#) for full-stack development.
  • Experience with Azure, Azure SQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Strong understanding of microservices, DDD, and event-driven architecture.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
  • A passion for clean code, continuous improvement, and lean delivery.
  • A collaborative mindset and a drive to take ownership from ideation to deployment.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools is a big plus
