Cabinet Maker

Almara Cabinets is a Melbourne based company focused on wardrobes and custom cabinetry to the residential markets. We are looking for a qualified and highly skilled cabinetmaker to join our team.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 plus super

The role:

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;

• Construct and assemble cabinet components, ensuring that all pieces meet the highest quality standard

• Verify and double check all calculations to ensure required specifications

• Be exact in measurements and markings

• Install the appropriate hardware, such as hinges and handles, and order replacement materials when needed

• Inspecting each completed item to ensure that it has been constructed accurately, and that the necessary finishes have been applied.

• Planning an effective approach to work to ensure that each project is completed on time.

• Clean and repair all equipment necessary for your work, including handsaws, table saws, skill saws, and a variety of drills and sanding tools

• Maintain a safe working environment

Required Skills and attributes:

• Certificate III in Cabinet Making or equivalent experience

• At least 2 years Joinery/Cabinet Making experience

• Ability to interpret plans and drawings

• Attention to detail

• Ability to meet tight deadlines

• Capacity to manage high volumes of work

• Capable of working autonomously

• Good communication skills, punctual and reliable

• Willingness to follow relevant OH&S guidelines
