About the Role:
This Position is located in Berri. The Property Officer provides timely and appropriate property services in the region to administer the Crown Land Management Act 2009.
The role provides technical advice in accordance with policy and legislation to clients and stakeholders in relation to the assessment of Crown land allocation and tenure and involved in a diverse range of dealings including licensing, leasing, dedications, easements and the sale of surplus crown land.
Crown and Reserve Lands are administered in accordance with legislation by accepting responsibility for investigation and transactions relating to revocation or dedication, leasing and licensing, creation of rights, Native Title requirements, survey, valuation requests, development application responses and authorisation of management plans.
Crown Land is efficiently disposed and acquired in accordance with established policy and procedures.
Crown Land is managed by undertaking inspections as required and identifying and recommending appropriate action.
Key stakeholders are advised on procedures and informed on progress of Crown tenure related transactions.
Departmental records are maintained in compliance with relevant legislation, Government and departmental records management policies, and current administrative practices.
Complex enquires regarding crown land tenure arrangements from stakeholders are assessed and dealt with in a professional and comprehensive manner.

Contract:
- Ongoing Position (based in Adelaide)
- Temporary Position up to 19 December 2026 (based in berri, or other location by negotiation)
Special Conditions:
- Will be required to participate in responses to state emergencies or associated duties.
- You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or provide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allows you to work in Australia.
- May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel, occasional overnight absences, and work outside of the normal hours of work.
- A current Class "C" driver's licence and willingness to drive is essential.
- Prior to being employed, the successful applicant will be required to obtain a National Police Check.
Remuneration:
ASO4 $76,561 min - $80,256 max p.a.
