Social Media Coordinator

About the role

We're on the hunt for a creative, scroll-stopping content superstar to join our team as Social Media Content Coordinator at GMD Activewear Australia Ready for an immediate start (or prior to Sept 2025).

This is a part-time role (15 hours per week) with plenty of flexibility, most of your work can be done from home in your comfiest activewear. But here's the fun part: every so often, you'll get to join us in person to capture all the behind-the-scenes magic

You'll need to be able to travel to our Capalaba QLD 4157 (Brisbane) HQ to create content in our office/showroom/warehouse when needed, and also tag along to our photoshoots (usually Gold Coast based) to grab fresh content. This means the role is perfect for someone local to SEQ who loves mixing remote work with a splash of in-person creativity.

If your camera roll is always full, your captions are witty, and you're as comfortable with TikTok trends as you are with Instagram stories, you might just be our person

About you & what you'll be doing

You're a creative soul with an eye for aesthetics, a love for storytelling, and the skills to make content people actually want to watch (and double-tap ). You're confident capturing and editing photos and videos, you can write in a fun, on-brand tone, and you're ready to bring ideas to life from concept to post.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and execute social media strategies to engage our audience and drive brand awareness
• Create and edit engaging photo/video/text content for Instagram, TikTok & Facebook (Meta)
• Stay ahead of trends and brainstorm fresh, relevant ideas for our brand
• Write fun, on-brand captions that sound like us
• Capture content at our Capalaba HQ and on-location at photoshoots (Brisbane/Gold Coast)
• Plan and schedule posts to keep our social feeds active and engaging
• Respond to comments and DMs in a timely, friendly, and professional way
• Track and report on social media performance to help shape future content
• Collaborate with our creative team to align our social media with new releases & upcoming campaigns
• Work independently and manage your own schedule to meet deadlines

What we're looking for

1. 2+ years' experience in social media management (retail, fashion, or e-commerce preferred)
2. Proven ability to create engaging content across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok)
3. Strong understanding of the Meta & Tiktok platforms + scheduling systems + current trends
4. Strong copywriting skills with excellent attention to detail
5. Basic photo/video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, etc.)
6. Understanding of analytics and how to use them to improve content & strategy
7. Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable managing your own workload
8. Able to travel to Capalaba 4157 HQ and photoshoot locations (usually gold coast) when required

Bonus points if you have experience in e-commerce, fashion, gymnastics, dance, or sports content, but it's your creativity and personality that will make you shine here
