Enrolled Nurse

We are hiring a Practice Nurse (EEN) to join our team at our Castle Hill and/or St Leonards practice on a casual or part-time basis.

Are you a team player; self-motivated and familiar with Best Practice clinical software tools? This position will give you the opportunity to undertake a variety of practice administrative & nursing tasks as required, with opportunity to pursue further training in your nursing career and taking on leading role at our clinic. All newly recruited nurses will be mentored by us.

Essential requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to effectively communicate over the phone, in person and also via letters & emails
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn new concepts, technologies and dermatological advancements.
• Current AHPRA registration as EEN
• Able to triage patients and understand acute care needs
• High level of computer literacy
• Able to work at either our Castle Hill Clinic and/or St Leonards Clinic locations as the position may require
• Australian Citizen or Permanent / Temporary Resident without working hours restrictions

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality dermatological care, including patient assessments, treatment, wound care, follow-up and after-care ( training will be provided if required).
• Assisting in and performing, when appropriate, various dermatological procedures and treatments.
• Collaborate with the doctor and team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients about treatment plans, skincare, and preventive measures.
• Conduct patient consultations, including history taking and physical examinations.
• Monitor and document patient progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Assist with documentation and note-taking.
• Sterilisation of instruments and stock monitoring, and placing orders.
• Be aligned with the clinic's core clinical values: Expertise; Safety; Integrity; Empathy and confidentiality.
• Must be available to work on Tuesday and Thursday

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a general practice/ skin cancer clinic setting
• Wound management experience and good understanding of aseptic techniques.
• Knowledge of Best Practice software
• Experience in dermatology or a related field is an advantage.
• Strong clinical skills
