Project Geologist

Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX:BGL) is a high-grade gold mine in Western Australia. The Bellevue mine has an estimated 10+ year mine life forecast to produce ~150,000 Au ounces in FY26.

Underground mining has occurred since late 2020 to establish multiple mining fronts that de-risks production with exploration potential expected to grow the current high-grade resource.

The Bellevue Gold Mine is located approximately 30km north of Leinster township and sits in a major gold and nickel producing district. The Company has a highly skilled management team with a track record of exploration success and development of major gold mines.

Bellevue Gold has the ambitious goal of net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the Bellevue Gold Project by 2026. This will be underpinned by a sector-leading renewable energy power station, with a forecast 70-80% renewable energy penetration rate.

In this role you will provide support to exploration targeting and field programs. This role is Perth based working Monday to Friday with regular trips into the field.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Design, planning, budgeting and implementation of exploration activities, including but not limited to:  mapping, sampling and drill programs; inclusive of sampling and assay protocols 
• Conducting geological interpretations and developing applicable exploration targets, including updating geology maps, regional structural models, summary geology reports and presentation material.
• Developing and maintaining geological models using software such as Leapfrog, and QGIS
• Supervision of drilling programs, including providing training and assistance to new geologist/field staff.
• Collaborating with fellow geoscientists, project managers, client representatives (drill contractors, laboratories and other contractors) and stake holders
• Geological logging and sampling of AC, RC, and diamond drill programs.
• Effectively communicate exploration outcomes through the compilation of technical reports on exploration activities
• Full compliance with all DEMIRS requirements around tenements, POW, rehabilitation, and heritage policies.
• Ensure the maintenance and implementation of the safety management plan and compliance with all BGL systems of operation.

Key Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

• Degree qualified in geology
• Solid experience in exploration
• Proficient in Leapfrog, QGIS, and MS Office Suite
• Proficient in technical writing, reporting and communication of technical data to relevant parties as required
• Experience in remote field settings across WA or similar terrains
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Effective project management, time management, and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks
• WA Manual drivers licence
• 1st Aid training and 4WD experience desirable
