About the role
Vermont South Dental is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. This part-time role is based in Vermont South, VIC 3133 and will play a vital part in supporting our dental professionals and ensuring our patients receive exceptional care.
Looking for individual able to work 2-3 days per week.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures by passing instruments, holding suction devices, and providing other support as needed
- Sterilising and preparing instruments and equipment, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, including charting and treatment notes
- Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Providing a high level of customer service to all patients, addressing their needs and concerns
- Undertaking administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing inventory
What we're looking for
- Experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably in a similar role
- A strong understanding of dental procedures and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate patient records
- Proficient in using dental equipment and software
- A commitment to providing exceptional patient care
