The Position
A reputable and growing organisation in the Brisbane CBD are seeking the talents of an experienced Payroll Officer to commence in a permanent full-time role within their thriving payroll team. 

This role provides you the opportunity to work in a collaborative team to perform a payroll service for a workforce of Working in a high-performing team within payroll, you will provide support to the Payroll Manager. You will be supported and guided to ensure you are a successful member of the organisation. This organisation is located in the CBD, close to public transport and a flexible hybrid working model allowing two days work from home a week. 

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for performing a full function payroll service for a workforce of Your key responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:

  • End-to-end payroll processing for a workforce of manual and electronic);
  • Provide support to the Payroll Manager ensuring team goals are met to a high standard;
  • Provide training, support and expert advice to the business to ensure the integrity and accuracy of T&A data;
  • Processing of adjustments and deductions including terminations, back-payments, WorkCover, tax, etc.;
  • Attending to and resolving any employee payroll queries in an efficient, positive and timely manner;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including the interpretation of Modern Awards and EBAs;

Skills & Experience
As the suitable candidate for this position, you will hold prior relevant and recent experience in payroll with a passion to advance your skills. In addition, you will also:

  • High attention to detail while working in a high-volume payroll environment;
  • Extensive end-to-end payroll experience;
  • Demonstrated understanding of payroll regulations and laws;
  • Adaptive communication style to ensure an open, professional and friendly manner to all levels within the organisation;
  • Positive and friendly work ethic and a strong team player;
  • High computer literacy in all Microsoft office applications (particularly Excel).
