Your new role:

As the Nurse Navigator – Paediatric and Adolescent Health, you will play a vital role in delivering advanced, culturally responsive care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and their families.

  • Providing advanced clinical nursing care and care coordination across the continuum of care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and adolescents.
  • Building strong therapeutic and culturally safe relationships with patients, families, and communities to empower self-care and informed health decisions.
  • Leading partnerships with multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders.

This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement for the position to be filled by a candidate indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. Candidates not meeting this criteria will not be considered.

About you:

You are an experienced Registered Nurse who identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and are passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of First Nations children and young people.

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with advanced skills in paediatric and adolescent health.
  • Deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, culture, and the social determinants influencing child and adolescent wellbeing.
  • A commitment to education, mentorship, and continuous improvement, fostering culturally safe and evidence-based practice within your team and service.
