About the role

Deadline Earthmoving is seeking a reliable and experienced Truck & Dog Driver to join our team in Toowoomba, QLD. This is a casual position, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your needs. As a Truck & Dog Driver, you will play a crucial role in our road transport operations, delivering essential supplies and equipment to our clients across the region.

What you'll be doing

  1. Safely operating a Truck & Dog combination to transport a variety of loads, including soil, gravel, and construction materials
  2. Adhering to all relevant road rules and safety regulations to ensure the safe delivery of goods
  3. Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and report any issues with the vehicle
  4. Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including load weights, routes, and any incidents
  5. Assisting with loading and unloading the truck as required
  6. Providing excellent customer service and communication with clients and colleagues

What we're looking for

  1. A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence
  2. Demonstrated experience as a Truck & Dog Driver, preferably in the road transport or construction industry
  3. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  4. Excellent communication and customer service skills
  5. The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. A solid understanding of road transport regulations and best practices
