Client -

My client is one of the largest Mobile crane OEMs here in Sydney, they have small but extremely professional workshop and field service team here in Sydney. With several staff working for the group for over 8 years this business stands by its people throughout the hardest of markets. Due to growth they wish add in additional service tech that can support the build of new Mobile cranes as well as Earthmoving machinery. You will be supported by the Service manager and look to PDI new equipment from day 1.

Hours -

In this role you will work Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm And Friday 8:00am to 2:30pm. Plenty of overtime and penalty rates.

Job Opportunity -

Your job will be to maintain a running fleet off mobile equipment listing from cranes, trucks and specialist equipment used in specialist projects. With new machine builds and managing existing machines the diversity in the workshop is huge. You will work and manage the day-to-day operation and provide support were this is needed at any one time on all jobs. We need a proven mechanic that can work independently and look to complete jobs in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities –

  • Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
  • Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing key procedures.
  • Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
  • Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
  • Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
  • Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
  • Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
  • Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
  • Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Electrical wiring and AC & DC electric motor works with fault finding on all CANBUS system.

Candidate Reequipments –

· Cert 3 Mobile Plant Technician

· to 10+ Years Experience

· CANBUS and strong fault-finding experience

· Clear knowledge of Earthmoving Equipment

· Forklift Licence

Salary Package

We are offering a full training and support package along with the ability to earn excellent money. This is full time job and we have staff that have been with the business for over 10 years. You will also be provided with career path to field service and or management.
