Located in the beautiful Whitsundays in tropical North Queensland, Whitsunday Counselling and Support Inc. (WCS) is a not-for-profit community organisation delivering vital services across Airlie Beach, Bowen, Proserpine, Collinsville, and the Whitsunday Islands.
Our Vision:
To work towards the prevention and reduction of violence in the community by providing a safe and non-judgemental environment and professional support services to women, children, young people, and families who have experienced family violence, sexual assault, or are at risk of neglect or abuse.
We are seeking a Senior Administration Officer to join our dedicated team.
Full-time role (76 hours per fortnight) based in Cannonvale, with occasional travel to Bowen.
About the Role
As Senior Administration Officer, you will:
• Provide high-level administrative support to the Management Team
• Coordinate HR processes, onboarding, and maintain staff records
• Support financial tasks including payroll and Xero data entry
• Manage organisational registers, assets, and compliance documentation
• Assist with accreditation requirements under HSQF
• Provide guidance to the Administration Officer and support daily operations
What We're Looking For
• Minimum 4 years' experience in administration and HR roles
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, Xero, and Canva
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent (BAS registration preferred)
• Current Blue Card, Police Check, and Driver's Licence
