Salamanca Inn is seeking an energetic, fit, and hard-working individual to join our Housekeeping team.

Attention to detail is a must as is a friendly demeanour. Shifts are rotating over a 7-day roster including public holidays with an expectation of approximately 20-25 hours per week.

Role Summary :

  • Maintain rooms and property to high cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Carry out daily cleaning safely using approved chemicals and equipment.
  • Assist guests with keys, enquiries, and deliveries while ensuring privacy.
  • Support Managers and Supervisors with daily tasks.
  • Manage linen: track stock, handle pickups/deliveries, and store items correctly.
  • Restock amenities and consumables as needed.
  • Keep trolleys and storage areas clean, organised, stocked, and secured.
  • Communicate daily with leadership on priorities and issues.
  • Build positive relationships with guests, residents, and staff.
  • Handle lost property according to policy.
  • Report maintenance issues and keep exterior areas tidy.

What we're looking for :

  • Fast learner who can work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Professional, ethical, and able to follow Covid-safe cleaning guidelines.
  • Physically fit and willing to go the extra mile for guests.
  • Experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning (preferred but not essential).
  • Customer-focused, reliable, and able to work overnight, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Good English skills (spoken, written, and understanding).
  • Valid Australian work rights
