Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) is seeking a motivated and passionate Senior Physiotherapist to provide high-quality care to the Griffith regional community. In this role, you will plan and deliver comprehensive patient care across a variety of settings, including the state-of-the-art Griffith Base Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role and contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment, where no two days are the same. 

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist to join us in this critical role to provide, plan and deliver comprehensive, high-quality care to patients and clients of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD).

As the Senior Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Working collaboratively and where appropriate lead the multidisciplinary team to optimise health status and well-being of each client/patient and carer in the optimum environment and facilitate safe and timely discharge from the service.
  • Maintaining appropriate and accurate activity statistics and documentation.
  • Providing high level clinical expertise and knowledge in their specialty area (which may include generalist practice) within MLHD
  • Working across both the inpatient and outpatient areas

Position Classification:Physiotherapist – Level 3

Remuneration: $112, $116,038.00 per annum (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Physiotherapy and current AHPRA registration
  • Advanced knowledge, skills, clinical experience and ability to provide patient-centred, evidence-based Physiotherapy services across a range of clinical areas and a willingness to use telehealth as a mode of delivery of clinical care.
  • Excellence in communication skills, including the skills required for interacting constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
