About the Role:
We are seeking a PQI Tester to join our client's team in the asphalt sector, working with one of the industry leaders in civil infrastructure. This role offers long-term opportunities, excellent pay, and exposure to a wide variety of projects across Perth and surrounding areas.
As a PQI Tester, you will be responsible for carrying out in-field density and quality testing of asphalt and soil materials to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards. You will work closely with supervisors, engineers, and crews to support the delivery of roads, civil works, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct PQI testing on asphalt layers to measure compaction and density.
- Perform nuclear gauge testing (Nuke testing) and soil density testing in line with project requirements.
- Prepare, record, and report results accurately for quality assurance.
- Liaise with site supervisors and project teams to ensure compliance with testing requirements.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Adhere to strict safety procedures and environmental standards on all sites.
- Travel to various sites across Perth and regional WA as required.
What We're Looking For Essential:
- Current Driver's Licence (manual preferred).
- White Card (Construction Induction).
- Willingness to work across metro and regional projects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow testing procedures.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all conditions.
Highly Desirable:
- Previous experience as a PQI Tester or in asphalt/soil testing.
- Knowledge of asphalt compaction processes and road construction standards.
- Experience using PQI and nuclear testing equipment.
