We are a non-profit, community-based children's centre, providing centre-based childcare and education to the Cessnock community for over 60 years. Providing high quality, affordable care with seven services catering to the widest age groups of children in the area, we supply nutritious meals and flexible learning environments that support and enhance each child's learning and development.

About the role

Our centre has a vacancy for a part time Kitchen Hand, to assist in the serving of high-quality, delivered food and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. Some meal preparation required, your attention to detail, care, and commitment to hygiene help support the health and wellbeing of every child in our care.

About you

Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen on your feet for the whole shift, you will be a team player with a positive attitude and a hygienic and safety conscious food handling mindset. You will also have:

• Some experience in a commercial kitchen

• Willing to provide or obtain a WWCC

• Able to commit to 3-5 shifts a week

• Current Food Handling certificate

• Reliable and punctual

• Drivers licence
