ABOUT US

Cyclowest is Western Australia's only commercial radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

This position is part of a highly professional, interdependent team in a time constrained environment who produce radioisotopes and radio-pharmaceuticals for use in clinical imaging, treatment and research applications.

ABOUT  THE  POSITION

Oversee and coordinate all production-related activities, ensuring compliance with operational standards and safety regulations. This role involves managing production personnel, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the quality of manufactured products.

ABOUT YOU

As a process-driven individual you will have strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset with a minimum of 5 years' experience in radiopharmaceutical manufacturing.

You are analytical with excellent problem-solving skills and have the ability to make data-driven decisions. Your effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders demonstrate a track record of driving operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Tertiary qualifications in chemistry, pharmacy,  nuclear medicine, radiopharmaceutical, or relevant field

  • Recent and relevant experience with radiopharmaceutical development and/or production in a GMP setting strongly preferred.

  • Experience in radiopharmaceutical and sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing

  • Demonstrated ability to work productively within a team and as an independent researcher

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support research and development in radiochemistry for the provision of radiopharmaceuticals and radioisotopes, including the development of radiochemical automation and radioanalytical measurement methods.

  • Manufacture of radiometal isotopes and associated pharmaceuticals.

  • Conduct and support large scale routine radiopharmaceutical and radioisotope production and propose, evaluate, validate, and execute new and improved production methods for routine supply of radiopharmaceuticals and radioisotopes to internal and external user communities.

  • Development, manufacturing, and quality control to support production of clinical and research radiopharmaceuticals.

  • Provide technical expertise to support the growth of drug candidates, from early-stage radiolabelling experiments, automation and GMP-compliant manufacturing.

  • Develop and validate new radiopharmaceutical production and quality control methods.

  • Assist in preparation of documents and provide scientific input

  • Establish stability programs, method development of analytical techniques

  • Support the technical transfer of radiochemical methods
