Join icon fashion house Aje as a copywriter at our Aje Head Office in Redfern.

The copywriter is the guardian and purveyor of the Aje Collectives tone of voice and ensures all copy is written to exhibit the brand's personality of cool, curious, considered and playful.

With an ability to write in a tone of voice that is exuberant yet refined, playful yet assured, feminine yet strong, aspirational yet approachable; the copywriter will engage customers across product, website and marketing communications, while ensuring all SEO and selling requirements are met.

About this opportunity:

• Edit the high-level creative brief as prescribed by brand founders, and work with the design team to develop seasonal storytelling.
• Develop monthly messaging matrices and product storytelling in line with content pillars as prescribed by the Marketing Director and Executive teams.
• Review and approve messaging across key channels, including social, email, website and digital.
• Own the Aje Insider blog series, interviewing talent and creating compelling editorial content to showcase on

• Edit seasonal product information as provided by the design team.
• Edit and proofread seasonal colour, print names and print technique stories as provided by the design team.
• Collaborate with the Marketing, Brand Visuals, Design, Retail, E-commerce and People and Culture teams to ensure all copy is accurate, informative and brand-aligned.
• Support the Retail, Marketing and VIC teams to ensure all copy is accurate, informative and brand aligned.
• Edit and proofread all content provided by partner agencies and external stakeholders, inclusive of wholesalers, agencies and brand sponsors or partners.
• Edit and proofread all promotional materials, website copy and SEO collateral as provided by the E-commerce and Marketing team.
• Provide agile, ad hoc support as requested by the Executive Team, Marketing Director or General Manager.
• Write interview collateral reflective of key thoughts from brand founders.
• Develop and build an approach to artificial intelligence for the business, using GeminiAI and ChatGpt, to drive efficiency and optimise output for the brands
• Collaborate with the SEO agency to develop and execute a plan to drive 'Search Everything Optimisation" assisting with ranking factors and proofing content that aims to position Aje at the forefront of the customers minds

You will bring:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar copywriting role
• Ability to communicate and work as a team player
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Knowledge of fashion preferred
• Strong knowledge of SEO copy best practices
• Able to work to deadlines, meet KPIs and global, industry-level standards
• Ability to adhere to tone of voice guidelines and write to different tone of voice styles, depending on the function or brand
• Ability to seek out and engage key stakeholders to gain all information
• Superior-level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Extensive experience in creating highly-engaging content, suitable for specific target audiences
• Excellent copywriting skills and strong verbal communication
• Analytical, with an ability to analyse data and respond
• A sound understanding of and passion for the wider fashion world
• Ability to think on a global scale, with both the domestic and international consumer in mind
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual details and accuracy
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite
• A passion to deliver excellent community management
• Bachelor's Degree required - Journalism or English preferred
