About the role
We are seeking a skilled Optical Dispenser to join our team at Image Eyewear in Yeronga, Queensland. As a part-time Optical Dispenser, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and expert advice to our valued clients.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting customers in selecting the most suitable eyewear to meet their needs and preferences
- Pre-testing patients before they attend their consultation with the optometrist.
- Accurately measuring and fitting frames and lenses to ensure optimal comfort and vision
- Processing orders and maintaining accurate records of all customer transactions
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends, products and technologies in the optical industry
- Providing a welcoming and engaging in-store experience for all customers
- Collaborating with the wider team to ensure efficient and seamless store operations
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as an Optical Dispenser or in a similar customer service-focused role
- Saturday availability is essential
- Strong knowledge of optical products, lens types and fitting procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and provide tailored recommendations
- Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
- A friendly, professional and customer-centric approach
- Flexibility to work part-time hours as required
- Formal optical dispenser certification or qualification is preferred but not essential
